thoughts of yesterday...

Cyclone swept through Myanmar
7.8 magnitude earthquake tore China-Sichuan apart
Where’s God?
I see Him everywhere in these dire circumstances.

It’s a wake-up call to Myanmar
Telling the junta that they’re not everything
Thousands perished or lost their homes
Countries flocked over to extend their helping hand
Only to be stopped by Satan’s hand
But goodness will still triumphed in the end

Fr Michal was stuck in Myanmar when cyclone struck
Everyone was pessimistic and worried
Is history going to repeat?
We pleaded Him not to take another precious shepherd away from our parish
And He heard our pleading.
Thank God

Very soon God spoke and acted in a bigger gesture
Taking with him tens of thousands of people in Sichuan, China
To me, he’s just simple trying to say,
“Hey China, you’ve got to slow down and think for your people
And what you’re doing…”
Is economic prosperity and modernity everything?
This is the time where humans need to feel like humans
We see love and hope much more than misery and hatred
Long queues for blood donation
Never ceasing donations and help in all forms
And a good check on their construction integrity

Natural disasters are common to China
Such that they’re numbed to it
And now this big one will hopefully speak to them in some way
To show more of the human side of humans…

May all these “martyrs” rest in peace
and the “living martyrs” be comforted
For they are noble sacrifices
for the salvation of more souls on earth
Who’ve lost their souls to fame, fortune, pride and selfishness.
Yet another strong reminder amidst all the food and oil inflation hypes
That loving one another, treasuring our lives and every moment we live
Is more important than anything.

The joy of hanging around in Youth room till dusk

6pm. Enchanting chimes of the church bells filled the air.
Looked out of the window.

Caught the beautiful painting in the sky that God was working on.
My eyes reached for the far distance

and landed on the mountain ranges of Johore
which seemed to be part of Singapore, if only if...
~ random thoughts of last wk.

5th May, My Silver Jubilee

A very much expired post.
Finally plan this night to sit down and record my memories.
Initially wanted to do a 25-year walk down memory lane thing...

but guess it'll have to put on hold. Quite excited about that.
Get to share with pplez and to review for it myself
how has it been
for the past 25 yrs...a quarter of a century!!
Thank God for blessing me all these yrs, always watching over me,
forgiving me, surprising me and loving me.

Less words more pics. Let the picture do the talking.

Birthday Dinner with Family at 주신정 Korean BBQ @ West Coast.
Heartwarming.~

Birthday Lunch with Choir @ Sakae Sushi
not knowing that it's part of a bigger plan of Project 5 May..~~

My day is all controlled within the hands of Princess Huang.
Surprise surprise surprise!~~ Project 5 May...

lured me to Labrador Park...caught sunset..pretty!

Candlelight dinner in the woods of Labrador Park @ The Olives. Surreal place. Only a handful of pple on weekday night. Nice.

Lured me to the van, gave me a birthday brownie.
Din sing bday song..coz she played and sang for me
The Birthday Song by Corrinne May on Sun already. =)

Later on, went for a short walk at West Coast Park,
grabbed my Ice Blended Himalayan Tea. WOots!
Was chauffeured home.
And the greatest shock awaits...

Took a day's leave w/o me knowing
Sneaked into my house
"Decorated" and created a mini treasure hunt.
Men!~ It was sure nerve-wrecking, never knew treasure hunt
in my own room cld be so tough.
But still, all the planning, all the thoughts that went into it,
really thankful for that. Haha..my sis says beginning 2 yrs
liddat one lar...after 3 or 4 yrs...no more big romantic surprises lo..
We'll see...
